Kirsty Macmillan Promoted To Head Of Kantar Public Australia

Kantar Public has announced the appointment of Kirsty Macmillan to head of Kantar Public Australia to drive the growth of the division’s national practice and oversee the team in offices across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, ACT, South Australia and Western Australia.

Macmillan has been with Kantar for 15 years in both Australia and the UK. In her most recent tenure as senior director for Kantar’s Insights division in Australia, Kirsty was leading a range of client accounts including a specific focus on government tourism brand and communications consultancy.

“With her strong track record of delivering high-level communications advice and strategic consultancy to government, Kirsty is a welcome addition to lead our Australian business” says Ash Moore, Kantar Public’s APAC Joint Lead.

“Kirsty’s leadership capabilities and ability to provide pragmatic advice to agencies and government will be invaluable, as well as the high regard that she is held in within the government tourism sector. Her appointment will support the continued growth of Kantar Public and critically, her senior leadership expertise will support our clients as the government shifts from a reactive to a recovery stance.”

Macmillan, who spent the formative years of her career in Kantar Public Australia, is “thrilled to re-join the team and embark on this new chapter.”

“I’m passionate about consulting in the public sector, and to lead such a high calibre team of consultants with strong cultural values at the forefront of change is an incredibly exciting opportunity. I look forward to working with them and partnering with our clients, especially as we navigate a post-pandemic recovery.”

Macmillan will commence her tenure from 1 April 2021 and work with Kathy O’Donoghue and Ash Moore, Kantar Public’s APAC Leads to deliver for Australian clients.
