ARN’s KIIS Network is going silent for 10 seconds every hour from 6am today to encourage listeners to check in on friends, family and colleagues as part of national R U OK?DAY.

This is the second year ARN have supported R U OK?DAY with 10 seconds of silence and reminders voiced by KIIS 1065’s Kyle & Jackie O, KIIS 101.1’s Jase & Lauren, 97.3FM’s Robin, Terry & Bob, Mix102.3’s Erin & Soda and KIIS FM’s Will & Woody (pictured) on air and across digital and social platforms about the importance of staying connected with the people in your life.

Every hour on the hour stations across the KIIS Network – Sydney’s KIIS 1065, Melbourne’s KIIS 101.1, Brisbane’s 97.3FM and Adelaide’s Mix102.3 – will stop the music and on-air chats to encourage listeners to speak up and ask someone “R U OK?” because this simple conversation could be life changing.

As part of supporting good health and mental wellbeing, ARN has given all staff across the country a day off of their choosing during the month of September to encourage everyone to take the time to recharge.
