Comedian and actor Joel Creasey teamed up with retail giant Amazon for Random Acts of Kindness Day by surprising five Melbourne residents with Amazon Prime packages.
The five winners were all nominated by family and friends who curated the packages, which were worth up to $1,000 each. Each of the recipients was recognised because of their resilience during 2020 as they dealt with personal hardship.
In the packages, they were given gifts like beauty products, tech gadgets, and gift cards.
Andrew Gosling, one of the five recipients, said, “a huge thanks to Joel Creasey and Amazon Australia for this Random Act of Kindness. It’s single-handedly the most incredible gift and expression of support I have ever received. Absolutely life-changing!”
Joel Creasey, whose shows on Amazon Prime include Prime Original LOL: Last One Laughing AU and stand-up Joel Creasey: Fame Whore, said, “these Aussie legends have just been getting on with it despite all the challenges and hardship thrown at them.”
“It was incredible hearing their stories and it really showed that we don’t know what the person walking past us on the street has gone through. It makes the world of difference, these little random acts of kindness, and I’m so happy to have partnered up with Amazon Australia for the day.”
