IPG Taps Mish Fletcher As Chief Growth Officer For APAC

Interpublic Group today announced that Mish Fletcher will be joining the company, effective immediately, as the company’s first-ever chief growth officer for the Asia-Pacific region. She will be based in Sydney and will report to Simon Bond, IPG’s senior vice president and chief growth officer based in New York.

In this newly created position, Fletcher is IPG’s first regional executive at the holding company level in Asia-Pacific, illustrating the region’s growing prominence as the world’s second largest global advertising region (31 per cent), behind North America. Fletcher will work across the region, partnering with IPG agencies to ensure the company is delivering the best marketing solutions to help drive growth for clients.

Mish is the right person to ensure that we can deliver on these kinds of briefs. She has all of the requisite expertise, and is also a great fit with our culture, which values and rewards curiosity, creativity and collaboration,” noted Philippe Krakowsky, chief executive officer of IPG.

Simon Bond added: “Mish is a true globalist with extensive experience in leveraging data and tech to deliver creative, personalized marketing communications on behalf of brands, at scale.

“She has deep industry background helping clients drive conversion and effectiveness with their marketing, most recently as Chief Growth Officer of FCB/SIX, where she was part of the leadership team that drove double digit growth in a year of disruption, fuelled by a number of significant client wins, and expansion of the agency’s global footprint,” he continued.

Fletcher said of the role: “I’m thrilled to be taking on this new role which will allow me to leverage key assets that IPG has invested in, including Acxiom, Kinesso, Matterkind, Hedy and IPG Studio on behalf of clients in the region.

Since May of 2020, Fletcher was executive vice president, global growth officer at FCB/SIX, the award-winning creative data agency and technology consultancy. Prior to that role, she spent several years as managing director and global head of marketing at Accenture Interactive, where she led a global team driving business growth, and record revenues of $10 billion in FY19, via new capabilities, thought leadership, demand generation and sales enablement activities.

For nearly 15 years, Fletcher was with OgilvyOne Worldwide, most recently as senior partner, worldwide managing director, marketing. She began her professional career at MacLaurin PR in the UK.
