Innovid boosts its staff numbers

Video advertising company Innovid has plumped up its number of staff in an effort to ramp up its presence across Australia and Asia-Pacific, appointing a new leadership team and hiring seven new staff.

Former Big Mobile digital media exec Jono Burke (pictured) has been appointed as managing director.

“Innovid has been at the forefront of furthering the education of the market around the interactive video space and this leaves us perfectly poised to meet the advertising industry’s increased appetite for interactive video advertising,” Burke said.

“We are investing significant resources into the market and have found a bunch of talented people to meet the growing local demand for our solutions. We are building our Sydney and Melbourne teams and the plan is to add great people in other markets such as Brisbane, Auckland and Asia, starting with Singapore and potentially Hong Kong.”

Former commercial video manager at News Corp Daevid Richards will take on the newly created role of head of publishers and partnerships, as ex-MCN staffer, Tarryn Young will head up Innovid’s Melbourne office.

The staff teams for the Sydney and Melbourne offices are also set to expand.

Burke remains a partner at Big Mobile.
