B&T is delighted to announced it has recruited Huntley Mitchell as its news editor. Huntley joins Misfits Media (publisher of B&T) after two-plus years as a journalist with Sterling Publishing.

Huntley (pictured below) replaces Emma Mackenzie who has sadly left the B&T team to relocate to Edinburgh.

B&T’s editor John Bastick said of Huntley’s recruitment. “I’d worked previously with Huntley and he was the ideal candidate for our news role. He’s a fantastic journo, has excellent news sense and a great eye for a story. He’s sure to be a top fit to the B&T staff.”

Misfits’ CEO David Hovenden added: “I typically have a prejudice against Cronulla Sharks supporters but was willing to turn a blind eye when I saw Huntley’s professional credentials. We also need more young people in the B&T office because they’re the only ones who know how to use stuff like Instagram and remember all the damn passwords.”

Huntley said: “I’ve been a huge fan of B&T for ages now and it’s a real honour to join the team. I’m really looking forward to getting out and meeting the industry. However, my first two days have thus far been spent meeting B&T’s favourite publicans and fixing Dave’s computer for him.”
