House Husbands Returns But Premiere Ratings Down

The season opening of Nine’s House Husbands was last night overshadowed by Seven’s House Rules with the drama pulling in just 891,000 viewers at 9pm.

While it began in an earlier timeslot, House Rules did not wrap until 9.30pm. Nine’s drama which has been a hit in previous seasons was is a long-way off its television debut which saw it win an audience of 1.376 million in 2012.

House Rules also hammered The Voice as 1.793 million people chose to watch Seven over Nine.

The Voice claimed third place with 1.425 million viewers, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

Seven’s Revenge wrapped up its season last night in front of 926,000 viewers. Revenge sat in ninth place and won its 9.30pm time slot.

MasterChef Australia was Ten’s highest rating program with the cooking competition sitting in 12th place with an audience of 830,000.

The Project also had a strong night with 751,000 people tuning in.

Ten’s 24: Live Another Day did not feature in Monday night’s 20 most watched list.

Seven won the final night of the Queen’s Birthday long-weekend overall, claiming 37.3% of all free-to-air viewers.

Seven’s primary channel won 28.8%.

Nine was in second place on total 28.8% with 22.7% going to its main channel.

Ten just missed out on third place, sitting on a total 14.9% it was hot on the ABC’s heels (15.1%).

Ten’s main channel won 10.3% while ABC1 took 11%.

SBS was in last place on a total 3.% with 2.7% going to SBS ONE.
