GSD&M Creates Awesome Wrapping Paper That Turns Traditional Gift-Giving On Its Head

A gift for the overly confident Christmas shoppers among us has arrived, and it comes in the form of freaking wicked wrapping paper for all your wicked pressies.

The message behind the new product, created by the folk at GSD&M, is to stop being unsure of your presents and to completely own them, stand up and say, I nailed this year’s gift-giving.

The wrapping paper  is sold at Etsy, and replaces boring ‘Joy to the World’ and ‘O Holy Night’ with outrageous phrases like ‘Grab a mop, because you’re about to wet yourself’ and ‘Stop with the foreplay and let’s get down to business’.

Talk about cocky gift-giving!

“There is so much anxiety associated with holiday gift giving,” GSD&M group creative director Ryan Carroll told AdWeek.

“Did I get the right gift? Will they like it or just return it? Should I include the gift receipt? We loved the idea of swinging the pendulum in the opposite direction and creating something cocky or brash for those occasions when you know you nailed it.”

“When you give the perfect gift, it takes everything you have not to tell the person how amazing it is. Now you can let your wrapping paper do the talking for you. Also, we really wanted to use a ‘Pee yourself’ joke.”
