According to a statement by Whooshkaa, Randall will be responsible for directing the platform’s sales and content marketing through its portfolio of content partners, which includes Fox Sports, Sky News, The Australian, The Daily Telegraph, and The Sunday Telegraph.

Randall was most recently the national sales director at Macquarie Media, where he played a key role in the merger with Fairfax Radio Network (where he was previously the national sales and marketing director) last year.

Prior to this, he held various senior roles at Southern Cross Austereo, including as the group’s national sales operations director and agency sales manager.

Whooshkaa Founder Robert Loewenthal said Randall’s extensive experience across the industry would be a powerful asset in driving the platform’s commercial expansion.

“Randall’s appointment reaffirms our commitment to being the leading company in our industry,” he said.

“Our innovativeness and increasing customer demand call for an experienced senior executive who is in sync with our ethos of trailblazing and exceptional service.

“We are delighted to have a professional of Nick’s calibre on board.”

Randall said he was excited to maximise the forward-thinking potential of Whooshkaa.

“I look forward to working with the team to develop their already extensive advertiser offering,” he said.

“The Whooshkaa development team is at the forefront of podcast innovation, and its recent Facebook integration is just one of many initiatives underway.

“I am fortunate to be joining a pioneering team leading the way in the commercialisation of podcasts.”
