Fairfax has announced the closure of the BRW website, after closing its print edition in 2013, with all traffic to be redirected to The Australian Financial Review’s ‘Leadership’ category.

The Leadership section of the AFR will be bolstered by the traffic from brw.com.au, with the site forwarding users onwards from March 17.

Stories from BRW’s editorial archive are now accessible on afr.com, including the BRW lists – Rich 200, Young Rich and Fast 100 – which continue to carry the BRW brand and are published in the Financial Review.

BRW lists will be freely available at afr.com/leadership/brw-lists.

A new Leadership section in the newspaper will also kick off from March 21, including Leadership Careers on Mondays, Leadership on Tuesdays, and Leadership Entrepreneur on Thursdays.

“In a period of fundamental and disruptive change, the quality of leadership becomes even more important in determining success or failure in our careers, workplaces and businesses,” Financial Review editor in chief Michael Stutchbury said.

“We will keep track of the startup ecosystem, from the digital disrupters and entrepreneurs, to the innovation and venture capital efforts of the nation’s biggest companies and universities.”

BOSS magazine editor Joanne Gray takes on additional responsibility as Financial Review Leadership editor, overseeing and building on the franchise developed by the Financial Review’s leadership publication, BOSS magazine, which continues as a monthly newspaper insert magazine.

Michael Bailey has been appointed Financial Review Entrepreneur editor to drive Leadership’s coverage of new thinking, big ideas and provocative reads for startups, venture capitalists, investors and leading entrepreneurial minds, across afr.com and a new Entrepreneur section in the newspaper on Thursdays, starting March 24, which replaces Enterprise.
