Digitas Australia, the connected marketing agency, has appointed Rebecca Zemunik as Managing Director.

She begins in her new role in July.

Zemunik arrives from Publicis Sapient after four years with the digital business transformation firm, most recently as Senior Director Business Development and Alliances. She brings with her over 20 years’ experience spanning tech, consulting and telco.

She will replace existing Digitas Australia Managing Director, Ian Gough, who has decided to move back to the UK with his family.

Adrian Farouk, CEO of Digitas ANZ, said, “Bec is an intuitive operator who understands the importance of connecting clients with the right talent and supporting teams to deliver outstanding business results. She joins at a crucial time for our agency.”

“Since our inception eight years ago, we have consistently driven double-digit YOY growth, and we have been fortunate enough to be named Campaign Asia’s Australian Digital Agency of the Year twice in the past three years. We are humbled to have someone with Bec’s talent come on board to chart the next evolution of our growth.”

Commenting on her new role, Zemunik said, “I’m thrilled to be joining a world-class agency with Digitas Australia. I know first-hand the calibre of people and exceptional work they continually produce. I look forward to working with the team and our clients in the future.”

Publicis Groupe ANZ CEO, Michael Rebelo, added, “Bec is a highly-skilled digital business leader with a proven track-record in our Groupe. Her move from Publicis Sapient to Digitas is testament to our ability to provide progressive career pathways for our talent. I have no doubt she will continue to excel in her new role within the Publicis Groupe family.”

“I would also like to thank Ian and Emma Gough for their incredible contribution to the growth and success of Digitas. I wish them, and their daughter Dani, all the very best back in the UK.”
