We Are Different Partners With The Black Dog Institute

Hand shows the brain in the sun and sky.

Independent PR and content agency, We Are Different, has announced a partnership with The Black Dog Institute, Australia’s leading research-based organisation dedicated to understanding, preventing and treating mental illness.

The partnership will see Different support Black Dog with its consumer-facing PR programs, helping shine a spotlight on mental health issues in Australia while profiling Black Dog’s leading research-based programs and e-mental health tools.

“Different impressed us with their smart thinking, creative approach and willingness to go above and beyond to make a real difference for our organisation,” The Black Dog Institute head of marketing and communications Fiona Treweeke said.

“One in five Australians experience mental illness in any year, yet over half do not access any treatment. Our PR partnership will help raise awareness and consideration of Black Dog, helping us achieve our mission of a mentally healthier Australia,” Treweeke added.

The partnership comes just over two months following the launch of Different, highlighting the already strong momentum of the creative-driven PR shop that’s doing things differently.

“The agency is already experiencing exciting growth due to interest from local and global brands,” We Are Different founder and director Stuart Terry said. “But as we grow, we want to ensure both the work we do for clients and the way we hire and retain staff is different.”

“Our partnership with The Black Dog Institute cements our commitment to a mentally healthier world and mentally healthier workplace,” Terry adds. “We couldn’t be more excited by the opportunity to drive real impact for such a well-known and worthy brand.”
