Derryn Hinch Forced To Deny Rumours Of Amber Harrison Affair!

Just when you thought this whole Amber Harrison circus couldn’t get any more bizarre comes media reports today that the 39-year-old is in an apparent sexual relationship with former broadcaster and now federal senator Derryn Hinch.

However, the 73-year-old has categorically denied the rumours, suggesting it was all the work of those salacious hacks over at the Daily Mail who had been phoning him about an alleged affair.

Hinch has admitted to meeting the former mistress of Seven CEO Tim Worner, but that’s apparently as far as any relationship went.

“I wish I was,” Hinch sarcastically told The Australian Financial Review of the rumoured dalliance.

The latest Harrison news follows revelations during the week that she also had an affair with Nova Entertainment’s program director, Paul Jackson, that ended abruptly in 2011.

However, the Hinch and Harrison do share something in common – having both been given court ordered suppression orders.

Harrison is currently under a permanent one forbidding her from speaking about her two-year affair with Worner, while Hinch was given two for publicly revealing sensitive information during high profile court cases. In 2014 he spent almost two months in jail for revealing details of the criminal history of Jill Meagher’s killer, Adrian Ernest Bayley.

Apparently, rumours of Hinch’s affair with Harrison began when he tweeted his support following Harrison’s suppression order from Seven.

“We have two things in common. One is that we have been both screwed by Channel Seven and we both know a lot about suppression orders,” Hinch told The AFR.

“Not long after, I got a call from a Seven executive, who will remain nameless, asking me how I was, checking on how my political career was going and finally reminding me there was a court order out against this woman. I was quite surprised,” he said. Seven has reportedly denied it contacted Hinch regarding the matter.
