Delta Goes For PHWOAR In Racy New Maxim Cover

Delta Goodrem appears to be attempting to shed her mumsy, good-girl image with a topless photo shoot for the latest edition of Australian Maxim magazine.

The 30-year-old singer and star of The Voice fronts the (last remaining) lad’s magazine’s annual ‘Hot 100’ list in which the blonde starlet also manages to snare the number one position.

Goodrem appears naked in a swimming pool on the cover and tweeted of her number one positioning: “Super excited to be Number #1 on Maxim’s prestigious hot 100 thank you so much guys!”

Her appearance on the cover proves that celebrities still value the power of a men’s mag despite the second last of the stable – Zoo Weekly – closing in mid-September (although it should be said that Zoo never chased celebrity covers.)

Maxim has recently featured such cover talent as Jennifer Hawkins and Sam Frost. However, the title got in a little trouble last year when it dug up an old shoot of Iggy Azalea in a bikini and attempted to pass it off as a Maxim shoot.

Maxim was launched under license in Australia in May 2011 and the title is unaudited although the publisher’s monthly estimate puts it at 25,000 sales.

Goodrem is set to star in an upcoming stage version of Cats, playing the wizened and dowdy feline Grizabella.
