Y&R executive creative director David Joubert has exited his role at the agency to join rival DDB Sydney as its new creative partner.
Joubert enjoyed a stint of almost 10 years at Y&R, having joined in 2008 as a creative director.
DDB Sydney confirmed the hire to B&T, with the agency’s chief creative officer, Ben Welsh, saying: “He brings a wealth of experience, everything from emotional storytelling to clever solutions. He gets big brands, and he’s a great guy.”
Comenting on his appointment, Joubert said: “DDB is one of the best networks in the world, and DDB Sydney one the best agencies, so the chance to be part of Ben and Tara [Ford]’s team in this exciting place was an opportunity too big to pass up.”
Joubert’s appointment comes after Ford joined DDB Sydney in July last year as its ECD from TBWA Melbourne.
