Corona Calls On Snoop Dogg For Latest Brand Campaign

Corona Calls On Snoop Dogg For Latest Brand Campaign

There’s been some conflicting news about how Corona beer is fairing in the market amidst the global coronavirus panic.

From reports it’s taken a $260m hit, to news it’s actually up 3.1 percent in sales, to Professor Mark Ritson claiming the massive press exposure Corona beer is receiving will inevitably boost the brand, the Mexican brew is on somewhat of a rollercoaster ride.

In his weekly column for UK’s Marketing Week, Ritson said Corona’s press will rocket the brand to drinkers’ top of mind.

And now it appears Corona is enlisting the help of rapper Snopp Dogg for its latest campaign “La Vida Mas Fina,” according to Ad Age.

The saying translates into “the finest life”, with the campaign expected to come in May from Interpublic’s MullenLowe agency.

According to Ad Age, a rough cut of the ad starring Snoop was shown to Corona brand owner Constellation at its annual wholesaler meetings this week.

A spokesperson said the goal of the spot is to tap into an “ensemble of personalities that embody the Corona vibe”.
