eBay Utterly Roasts Amazon In New ‘Honest Alexa’ Campaign

eBay has well and truly scorched the competition in its latest campaign out of the US which features a sassy ‘honest’ real-life Alexa taking aim at Amazon Prime Day.

A young human girl named Alexa pokes fun at the “parade” of deals offered during Prime Day (15-16 July), mocking Amazon for its “totally made up” holiday to get “people excited about its parade of deals”.

She also mocked Amazon’s offerings and said: “They will mostly have deals on random stuff nobody wants, they are mostly trying to clear their warehouse.”

Last year, Amazon crashed on Prime Day and if it crashes again this year, eBay has promised to unlock even more deals in its ‘Crash Sale’ – snarkily named after the crash it predicts Amazon will once again have this year.
