Blobfish And R U Okay? Team Up To Support Aussies In September

Blobfish International, Australia’s largest activation and sampling network, is working together with national harm prevention charity R U OK? and the nation’s leading food delivery companies for R U OK? Day on 8 September, creating branded food delivery bags and flyers to encourage meaningful conversations.

A first for the charity, thousands of branded food delivery bags and flyers will feature the R U OK? Day 2022 message: ‘Ask R U OK? No qualifications needed’. An accompanying QR code on the bags will link to tips and advice and a range of free resources from R U OK? These will be distributed by major food delivery companies Uber Eats, Deliveroo, MenuLog and DoorDash.

Households across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane will receive their take-away deliveries during September along with a reminder that they already have what it takes to support their family, friends, and colleagues. The branded bags will encourage customers to start a meaningful conversation with their friends, family, and colleagues.

R U OK? Day is a national day of action, and a reminder that every day is the day to check in with the people in your world.

Blobfish International CEO, Nic Cann, said: “The past few years have been difficult for many Australians, with the pandemic, devastating floods, and now the rising cost-of-living. As Australia’s largest activation network, we have a significant reach and the capacity to drive home these important mental health awareness messages. In building the creative execution, it was imperative for us to really showcase this year’s theme of ‘Ask R U OK? No qualifications needed’ and make it easy for people from all walks of life to find guidance on starting a conversation that could change a life.”

R U OK? CEO, Katherine Newton, said: “We want to reassure Australians that you don’t need to be an expert to have an R U OK? conversation with someone in your world who might be struggling. Listening and giving someone your time might be just what they need to help them through a difficult period.”

The R U OK? branded delivery bags and flyers have been activated in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
