As far as newsroom fails go, this recent one by BBC is definitely right up there with Natasha Exelby’s from a couple of months back.
When BBC News at 10 went to air in the UK the other night, no one was prepared for what the first four minutes would throw up.
It all started to go pear-shaped right from the get-go, with the visuals switching from breaking news graphics on repeat to host Huw Edwards sitting awkwardly on the news desk trying to make himself look busy while the show’s producers tried to recover from the huge blunder.

And, as you would expect, viewers were quick to point out the gaffe on social media.
