Bachelorette contestant Bill Goldsmith (pictured) has come under fire following the discovery of a now-deleted Facebook post.
The post, which was written by Goldsmith in response to the Lindt Cafe Siege in Sydney in 2014, is now going viral.
Goldsmith wrote: “I’m finding it so hard not to be racist, after all this stuff in Sydney.
He goes on: “I never said I hated [Muslims].
“None of that shit happens over here because they don’t like killing their own! They like making a statement against the western world!
“And it just so happens that 99per cent of terrorists are Muslims, religion in a whole is a crock of shit!
“It’s just a way to brainwash ppl into giving them money and get tax exemptions from the government!”
Speaking on the Lindt Cafe Seige terrorist Man Haron Monis, Goldsmith said: “He was a self-confessed Muslim shake [sic] or however the fu**ing [you] say it.
“Australia’s justice system has a lot to answer for too!,” he added.
“The bloke was on bail for 40 counts of sexual assault and murder!”
“Religion brainwashes [people] into killing other [people]… It’s not the first time a Muslim terrorist has done bad sh*t”.
A Network Ten spokesperson has since told released a statement, which read: “Bill has deleted the post and is extremely sorry for any offence he may have caused.”
B&T has contacted Ten for further comment.
