An Elf, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy & A Pancake Get In A Blazing Row In Bonkers Christmas Spot

Let’s face it, 2020’s been utterly crap and mercifully UK broadcaster Channel 4 has decided the best course of action is to have a laugh.

In a new spot titled “Merry different” we see a cast of fictional characters including a Christmas elf, the Easter Bunny, Saint Patrick’s Day leprechaun, the Tooth Fairy, a Valentine’s Day Cupid and a Halloween Ghost all end up in a blazing row.

However, it’s up to the Pancake Day Pancake to deliver the message that “we may all look a little different…and we may all stand for different things…but, like us, different can be good”.

The fun spot was done by Channel 4’s in-house creative team, 4Creative, and directed by Droga5 London ECD, David Kolbusz.

Check out the madness below:

Commenting on the work, Channel 4’s chief marketing officer Zaid Al-Qassab said: “Channel 4 is here to ensure alternative voices are heard, which reflect an inclusive modern Britain.

“We think our family of holiday mascots is a fitting reflection of the diversity of many British families doing their best in difficult circumstances this Christmas season,” Al-Qassab said.
