Alpha Digital Uses Ethical Recruitment Platform For Grad Intake

Independent digital marketing agency, Alpha Digital will introduce an ethical recruitment platform for the third round of its one-year graduate program.

Be Applied will now be incorporated into Alpha Digital’s recruitment to fuel an equitable hiring process. By creating an unbiased and inclusive recruitment process, the agency is looking to foster diversity within its talent ecosystem.

Alpha Digital’s operations director, Zarah Prior, said: “The platform’s entire ethos is to de-bias recruitment and build a more ethical and equitable hiring process. After seeing how Applied has designed-out opportunities for bias to impact decision making – increasing the likelihood of diversity hires and unearthing talent that the traditional CV-and-cover letter approach would simply miss – we were incredibly excited to onboard the platform before the launch of our 2022 graduate program. The graduate program is designed to nurture future industry talent and by nature, the recruitment process for that opportunity should be impartial.”

The fast-paced initiative puts university graduates face-to-face with some of Australia’s most recognised brands like City Beach and Stone & Wood, while giving them 360° exposure to the agency’s full suite of digital specialisations. It is designed to give upcoming and recent university graduates the opportunity to navigate their own path into the industry.

The entire first cohort of the grad program received and accepted formal employment offers, and the second-year intake is about to enter the final few months which sees them specialising in their preferred department, deep diving into their chosen department, and deepening their knowledge. The initial phase runs for six months and allows the graduates to rotate through every department in the business to find what they love.

Throughout the program graduates run through an intensive training program while working with clients. At the end of the program, select high performing graduates are offered a permanent full-time role in their chosen speciality.
