Awindependent PR Agency Agent99 has added The Distilled Spirits Council of the US (DISCUS) to its client roster, alongside thought leader and commercial property specialist, Helen Tarrant.

DISCUS is a national trade association representing U.S. producers, marketers, and exporters of distilled spirits. The account was won following a competitive pitch earlier this year.

DISCUS has officially kicked off its “Cheers! Spirits from the USA” campaign to raise awareness and knowledge of the heritage, flavour profiles, and quality of U.S. distilled spirits, tasking Agent99 with heading up its PR and marketing efforts from a trade and consumer perspective in Australia.

The first consumer activation for the organisation, which is supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, presents a series of virtual experiences to celebrate bourbon heritage month during the month of September. In collaboration with some of the world’s most iconic Bourbon brands including Woodford Reserve and Wild Turkey, the events will highlight the versatility and uniqueness of U.S. spirits products.

In the coming months, a range of other trade and consumer events, industry partnerships, media relations and social media activations will continue to heighten member brands’ local visibility.

Charles McEntee, director of export promotion for DISCUS, said: “We are thrilled to launch this campaign with the help of Agent99.

“Australia has been a high growth market and the third-largest export market for U.S distilled spirits, so we are excited for our first activation to commence in time for Bourbon Heritage Month.”

In addition to signing DISCUS, Agent99 has won the PR campaign for leading commercial property specialist and buyer’s agent, Helen Tarrant. Agent99 will build her thought leadership in this space to help educate Australians who are looking to grow their commercial property portfolio, build passive income and increase their cash flow through property.

Agent99’s Director and Founder Sharon Zeev Poole (main photo), said: “After years of working with premium spirits brands, we are delighted to onboard DISCUS to our client roster and work with some iconic spirits brands, both established and up and coming.

“Additionally, being able to grow our expertise in thought leadership building with varying clients such as Helen Tarrant, is incredibly exciting for our team.

“This year continues to perform strongly for us as an agency as momentum builds both in terms of our client portfolio and staff, which we are very grateful for.”
