M&C Saatchi Worldwide Concludes Its First ‘Diversity & Inclusion Week’ Internationally

M&C Saatchi Worldwide is to conclude its first international Diversity & Inclusion week which follows on from the success of its London-only edition in 2018. During the week, over 30 events took place across its 29 international offices, including Berlin, Jakarta, Johannesburg, London, New York, Sydney and the UAE.

Moray MacLennan, M&C Saatchi Worldwide CEO said: “Making D&I week International is essential. It forces us to think about what Diversity and Inclusion means in different cultures and regions of the world. Essential, because it means different things in different places.”

This week-long series of events featured talks from ground-breaking creatives such as Emerging Scene in the UAE, champions of Emirati female artists, a ‘Five Days of Difference’ themed event in Johannesburg and cultural food exchanges in Jakarta. London participants also attended a headline talk with industry visionary Cephas Williams on his 56 Black Men Project.

Taking place between Monday 23 and Friday 27 September, these events also complement M&C Saatchi Worldwide’s membership of the Inclusive Employers Network alongside Macmillan Cancer Support, Nestle and Transport for London.

M&C Saatchi Worldwide, Sereena Abbassi, worldwide head of culture and inclusion, said: “The launch of the M&C Saatchi International Diversity & Inclusion Week is about actively showing our commitment to the grassroot organisations that sit within our local markets, so that we continually evolve and become an organisation that is truly representative of everywhere.”
