Icon Agency Appointed To Federation University Australia’s Advertising Roster

Melbourne-based independent creative group Icon Agency has announced it has been appointed as an advertising services partner for Federation University Australia (FedUni) following a public tender process.

Phillips Crone, marketing and communications manager at FedUni, said he was impressed by Icon’s integrated model – “particularly the focus on PR and communications, and the fresh thinking they will bring to our advertising and marketing program”.

Icon managing director Joanne Painter said she was excited to be working with an innovative challenger brand in the higher education marketplace.

“FedUni has achieved big things since it was launched in 2014,” she said.

“With a five-star teaching reputation, beautiful campuses in Ballarat, Berwick, Gippsland and the Wimmera, and a powerful value proposition for metropolitan and regional students, the university gives integrated agencies like Icon plenty to work with when it comes to advertising and marketing.

“We look forward to partnering with FedUni over the next few years and helping them amplify their strengths, create new conversations with students and build their brand.”

The appointment is effective immediately.
