Edeka’s Christmas Ad Overtakes John Lewis In Online Shares

A Christmas ad from German Supermarket Edeka that showed an old man faking his death to get his family to come home for Christmas has overtaken the ‘man on the moon’ John Lewis ad as the the most shared Christmas ad of 2015.

Data from video ad tech company Unruly showed that Edeka #HeimKommen ad has been shared 2.39 million times to date, eclipsing John Lewis’ #ManOnTheMoon campaign, which currently stands in 2nd place with 1.3 million shares.
