Surf campaign video makes waves

A surf video shot by popular Bondi surf photographer Eugene Tan at the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast 2013 competition has been watched almost 100,000 times on YouTube.

The three-minute film is the result of a Mindshare-led campaign from Land Rover and Aquabumps, Tan’s photography business.

Tan completed a two-week trip up the coast in a Land Rover to capture the footage. There was no agenda, just some stops at some of Australia’s most iconic surf spots.

The action was posted on the Quicksilver Pro website and received 184,000 page views in the first few hours.

The 12-day surf contest was won by Kelly Slater on Wednesday.
