M&C Saatchi wins NRMA creative

M&C Saatchi has been appointed by insurance brands NRMA Insurance, SGIC and SGIO to handle creative services following a competitive pitch.

The deal is rumoured to be worth in excess of $20 million in billings per annum for M&C Saatchi.

Anthony Justice, Head of Marketing for NRMA Insurance, SGIC and SGIO said: “We selected M&C Saatchi on the strength of their strategic thinking and creative ideas regarding our direct insurance brands.”

“The team at M&C Saatchi illustrated they have the capability to partner with us in developing and implementing a highly creative approach that strengthens the core positioning of our brands.”

M&C Saatchi CEO Jaimes Leggett said: “This is a significant win for the agency".

“As well as being one of the largest accounts in the Australian market, NRMA Insurance, SGIC and SGIO are all iconic brands. We can’t wait to get started.

“It’s great to see the bolstered team making their mark.” 

Recent hires for M&C Saatchi include Ben Cooper who joined from the Monkeys to head up innovation and Justin Graham from Droga5 as chief strategy officer

NRMA et al's creative account was previously held by Whybin/TBWA for the past seven years, which won the account from M&C Saatchi.
