ACA Reporter Slapped With Fine Over Legal Saga With Neighbours

A Current Affair journo and son of Nine’s chairman Peter Costello, Seb Costello, has been fined and been given a good behaviour bond over a disagreement with neighbours.

Yes, ironically, it sounds like an issue from an episode of A Current Affair.  However, after being represented by legal heavyweight Sam Norton the issue has been settled.

The $750 fine comes after Costello argued with two neighbours over a parking space, however, Costello has likely avoided a criminal record over the incident.

The incident happened in a Melbourne suburb, a few months ago. News.com.au reported that the alleged altercation occurred in a Richmond Laneway in February with a man and woman in their twenties.

According to The Herald Sun, the man and woman are siblings and the alleged altercation was about a parking issue in the neighbourhood. A parked car was allegedly blocking a laneway.

The Age reported that Norton applied for a suppression order on the case. However, it was rejected by the judge presiding over the case.

Costello is now on a good behaviour bond for six months.
