More than two million My Kitchen Rules fans farewelled dining table villains David and Corrine last night on Seven.

It is the second night running MKR has stayed above the two million mark, last night winning 2.123 million viewers, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

Reality contender The Block: Fans v Faves pushed closer to the two million mark, pulling in 1.192 million viewers for Nine.

Nine had a strong night with five programs above the million mark including Nine News (1.173 million) and The Big Bang Theory (1.170 million).

Despite Nine winning the news battle against Seven and dominating 8.30 to 10.30 with The Big Bang Theory and 2 Broke Girls it wasn’t enough to win overall.

Seven won the night overall with a total 35.3% share of free-to-air viewers with 28.6% for its primary channel.

Seven News, Winners & Losers (962,000) and Parenthood all came second to Nine programming.

Home and Away (998,000) did beat Nine’s A Current Affair(938,000) at 7pm.

Nine sat in second place on a combined share of 29.1% and 23.3% for its primary channel.

Ten’s share lifted on Tuesday evening to a total 14.3% with 10% for its primary channel.

The upwards swing was not enough to beat out the ABC which won a total 17.2% and 12% for ABC1.

SBS brought up the rear with a total 4% and 3.2% for SBS ONE.
