Global youth media company VICE is bringing what it describes as one of its “most loved verticals”, The Creators Project, to Australia.
The Creators Project, which was founded in a partnership between VICE and Intel, is designed to celebrate and support artists that use technology to “push the boundaries of creative experession”.
The first piece of content to feature on the new local site is called ‘Leviathan’ (below). It is a film the explores how emerging technology is shifting the future of storytelling.
The Creators Project Australia will feature global content while developing local editorial such as coverage of MONA’s Dark Mofo winter festival event in Hobart, Tasmania.
Sydney’s VIVID Festival and a kinetic sculpture by Melbourne design practice Eness for the Melbourne Museum will also be covered.
The launch of the vertical follows the push of its food channel MUNCHIES, created in partnership with FremantleMedia, and VICE News into Australia.
