Sexpo's take on experiential marketing

Sexpo’s organisers are fans of experiential marketing with a pole dancing grandma the latest stunt rolled out to promote this weekend’s event in Melbourne.

Passerbys were shocked to see a grandmother ditch her walking frame and take to a street sign like a pole dancing pro.

In the video (below) the dancer can be seen pulling some racy moves on the pole.

Despite the public nature of the stunt, it has not attracted as much controversy as Sexpo’s previous exploit which saw a giant penis on a truck roam the streets.

The penis, complete with testicles, was parked outside St Kilda’s Luna Park (pictured).

The chief executive of Luna Park, Mary Stuart, has since said she is seeking legal advice on the stunt which she feels visually defaced the icon.

Earlier this month the Sexpo event attracted more attention when it was revealed it was scheduled to run at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre at the same time as a children’s cheerleading event.
