Jacob’s Creek disintegrates the festive writer’s block

Trying to write the perfect holiday message for your friends and family can often end up being a torturous task.

Finding something unique to say that goes beyond “Merry Christmas” as well as personalising them to make them extra special can sometimes cause the dreaded writer’s block to consume you as you stare hour after hour at a blank page (or screen).

One of Australia’s leading wine brands, Jacob’s Creek, has teamed up with Facebook Connect to help you along your festive message journey.

The online app called True Greetings, developed by digital agency AnalogFolk, taps into your past friendships with Facebook friends, such as events attended, locations and ‘likes’ and creates a unique and personalised message based on its findings.

There are four festive eCard designs to choose from and hundreds of possible card varieties for uses to create, meaning you can really put the personal touch to your greetings this year.

Once you’re happy with your eCard and message, you can send it via Facebook or email.

Jacob’s Creek is also offering the first 1000 Aussie users the chance to send their message via traditional post.

“We’re constantly looking for ways to evolve our portfolio of products to meet the needs of our customers,” Derek Oliver, global Marketing Director of Jacob’s Creek said.

“The launch of True Greetings is just one example of how we’re embracing leading innovations in technology to deliver an exciting new Jacob’s Creek experience for our customers.”

Check out the app here. It tells you grab a glass of wine and some cheese while you wait for the message to be crafted. Don’t mind if we do.
