Michael Godwin, JWT Melbourne’s managing director, said: “I have been looking to fill these roles for some time, and during my extensive search I constantly heard about the enviable skill sets of both Jacqueline and Kellie. Melbourne: February 26, 2014: JWT Melbourne has consolidated its senior management team, announcing the appointments of

Jacqueline Wang as Planning Director and Kellie Lennon as Client Services Director. Both Wang and Lennon start immediately.

Responsible for leading the planning and account management divisions in JWT’s Melbourne office, Wang and Lennon will also play a pivotal collaborative role with the broader JWT Group nationally.

JWT Melbourne's Managing Director, Michael Godwin said the proven expertise and skills of both women would add to his already strong management team, and he was looking forward to their drive and interest in the agency’s future success.

“I have been looking to fill these roles for some time, and during my extensive search I constantly heard about the enviable skill sets of both Jacqueline and Kellie. After meeting them, I knew straight away they would be tremendous assets to our team and to our clients’ businesses,” explained Godwin.

“Planning is so close to the heart of the JWT brand so I’m particularly excited about being able to provide our clients with senior leaders of Jacqueline and Kellie’s calibre and vast experience.”

Most recently at Whybin TBWA Melbourne where she worked with a range of leading brands including ANZ, Nissan, Infiniti and Medibank, Wang has extensive experience in banking and financial services, FMCG, retail, tourism, utilities and automotive. She is also a member of Victorian committee of The Communications Council.

Her immediate focus at JWT Melbourne will be to lead an already strong team of thinkers, adding skills which span digital, shopper marketing and more traditional brand planning.

“JWT has always been a pioneering agency and in a complex and multidimensional world, we need pioneers more than ever,” said Wang. “I am excited to be working with a very talented team to both create ideas for the great brands we have and to win new brands for the agency. The best ideas are those that come from a profound understanding of consumers, an attribute JWT is renowned for delivering.”

Lennon was most recently General Manager at Publicis Mojo, and during her 16 year career has been instrumental in the development of some of the country’s most loved and effective creative campaigns, while leading the Tourism Victoria, Nike Australia and Cadbury accounts. She will immediately take responsibility for overseeing JWT Melbourne’s account management department, spearheading key client relationships including Mondelez and Quit Victoria among others.

Lennon said of the move: "I have been in the industry for a long time and up until recently, have been with just one company. When I was ready for a change it was a daunting prospect. But when the opportunity came up to meet with the team at JWT an otherwise overwhelming decision was made incredibly easy. They are a genuine, enthusiastic and ambitious team who have a clear view for the future that I wanted to be a part of. The agency also has a strong and diverse client mix from well-known household brands through to those that provide the opportunity to give back in some way and better our community.
