Fisher & Paykel's chief marketer departs

Fisher & Paykel has announced the departure of its general manager marketing, Peter Russell.

Russell (pictured), one of the industry’s most experienced marketers, leaves the company after seven years at the helm.

During this time he led Fisher & Paykel’s repositioning strategy in Australia, focused on digital, experiential and through the line campaigns during his tenure.

Russel is known for his experiential initiatives such as the transforming mobile Ironside container, Musion holographic theatre and recently the YUM Kitchen at the national Good Food & Wine Shows.

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at Fisher & Paykel Australia and will be leaving behind a very creative and capable team,” said Russell.

Asked about his next career step, he replied: “Joining the professional world surfing circuit or responding to my call up for the All Blacks; not sure which, perhaps both.”
