Ten’s Cricket: T20 Big Bash League Game Session 2 coverage managed to make the top ten of programs for last night’s viewings, coming in below the fourth day of the Australian Open.
Day four of the Australian Open suffered in the ratings with only 679,000 people tuning in to see Aussie teenager Nick Kyrgios go down to Frenchman Benoit Pair in a five set thriller.
Other players on day four included Roger Federer and Australian teen Thanasi Kokkinakis who lost to Rafael Nadal.
The audience drop follows a day two’s million plus audience and the opening night result of 858,000.
While both Ten and Nine had programs within the top twenty, Seven managed to walk away with the gold again with a total combined share of 32.5%.
The Hot Seat and Getaway on Nine helped the channel grab second place again with a share of 26.9%.
Ten’s session 1 of the cricket didn’t bring in as many viewers as the second session, however the 639,000 viewers were enough to pull Ten into third place with a share of 20.2%.
ABC came in fourth with 14.7% and SBS once again fifth with 5.7%.
