JOY appoints new head of strategy

Communications agency JOY has announced today the appointment of Michele O’Neill as its new head of strategy.

O’Neill will now be responsible for the strategic direction of the agency, in collaboration with co-founder Andrew Wynne.

The announcement comes as part of JOY’s recent appointments, including Simon Ludowyke as general manager, Ron Taylor as chief operating officer and Andrew Thomas as group accountant director.

O’Neill brings twenty years of international experience in FMCG as global planning director at Lowe and Partners in London and Paris and prior to that, Ogilvy Worldwide.

“Michele brings invaluable knowledge to the group with an impressive background across clients and countries,” Simon Ludowyke, JOY general manager, said.

“Her more recent exploration of behavioural economics and decision-making complements our new world-selling ethos, which aims to disrupt the traditional advertising model.”

JOY is an independent Australian owned and managed communications agency focused on selling in the new world, with offices in Sydney and Auckland.

JOY’s clients include SBS, Subaru and ARN.
