Binged hot list: Miranda Kerr, twerking and quinoa

Miranda Kerr doesn't need rumours of a fling with James Packer to keep her top of mind with the model named the most ‘binged’ Australian celebrity for the third year running.

The former Victoria’s Secret Angel and ex of Hollywood heartthrob Orlando Bloom was Australia’s most searched celebrity of the year.

Despite it being an election year the model came ahead of other local ‘celebrities’ Kevin Rudd, Tony Abbot and Julia Gillard. Shane Warne came fifth on the list.

While Kerr may have more pull than our newly elected leader she lost out overall to twerking starlet, Miley Cyrus.

Cyrus was the most searched celebrity on Bing locally and in Canada.

“Miley also made ‘twerking’ one of the most searched words for 2013, thanks to all those Australians who binged a definition of this new ‘verb’,” the Bing release said.

She was also one of the country’s most search ‘news stories’ with ‘Miley Cyrus Twerking’ coming in at number four.
