MCM Entertainment boss Simon Joyce has quit the role after 13 years with the company.

Joyce, who was group chief executive for the past five years, will continue to work with MCM in a consulting capacity until 2014.

MCM founder Tony McGinn said: “Simon has played a key role in the growth of our media business and has served the company with great passion and commitment.

“After 13 years with MCM, we understand Simon’s need to spread his wings and we are happy to support him as he does. Simon leaves this business with our best wishes for his future success.”

A statement from MCM said Joyce’s group chief executive role will not be replaced, and a new leadership structure will be announced in the coming weeks.
