Actor Dan MacPherson signs with Octagon

Sports and entertainment marketing agency Octagon has won a new client in Aussie actor Dan MacPherson.

The former Neighbours star and current host of Channel 7’s Dancing with the Stars has added Octagon to his team, in a strategic partnership with talent management agency Morrissey’s.

Octagon is charged with developing and managing commercial partnerships for MacPherson, who is a keen triathlete and has completed Ironman events,

MacPherson said: “Having been working as an actor and presenter since the ‘90s, I’ve always had great representation when it came to professional gigs. Now, as my career continues to expand and opportunities arise in so many different forms, the commercial side becomes more important. So I wanted to add a new dimension t my team – experts in this area.”

Rene Wright, client services director at Octagon, said: “When it comes to developing relevant and meaningful partnerships between brands and talent, we believe strongly in research. Our ‘Passion Drivers’ research helps us understand the psychology behind fan passion for sport, movies and celebrity. The team here is excited about working with Dan.”
