Brands support SBS2’s relaunch

KFC and Lion have been announced as brand partners for the relaunch of SBS2 on Easter Monday.

The two brands have signed a three-month partnership with the channel.

Andrew Cook (pictured), director of sales at SBS Media, said: “We are thrilled to announce two of the country’s leading brands as partners, as they seek to access the under-40 media audience that SBS2 will connect with.

“The calibre of our launch partners reflects the high quality programming that the new SBS2 will broadcast, as well as the new ways we are enabling our diverse audience to access content. Lion and KFC have seen the value in how SBS2 will connect in a meaningful way with a typically hard to reach audience.”

New to SBS2 will be the channel’s first commissioned program, The Feed – current affairs program.

The relaunch also sees the launch of Back2Back, a service that allows viewers to watch the whole series of programs before they broadcast on the channel, via the SBS On Demand service. Back2Back will offer three series from April – Bullet in the Face, Don’t Tell My Mother and The Tales of Nights
