Fairfax Radio hires new national sales director

Fairfax Radio Network has snapped up Nick Randall (pictured) from Southern Cross Austereo to the position of national sales director.

Randall will start his new role next month and report directly to Fairfax Radio Network CEO Adam Lang.

Lang revealed that after an exhaustive national recruitment process the Fairfax selection panel decided Randall was the man for the job.

“We had a field of top class candidates and Nick was the stand out,” said Lang, adding that Randall joins Fairfax with an outstanding reputation for excellence in sales and leadership.

“This is a significant national executive appointment and Nick has a very impressive track record in driving sales across multiple media platforms,” said Lang.

Randall, who began his radio sales career at Melbourne's Fox FM in 1999, and who will be primarily based in Sydney, will be responsible for driving group sales strategy across Fairfax’s national radio network.

Randall said he was very much looking forward to the challenge of joining Fairfax.

"Fairfax Radio Network is home to some of the best radio stations in the country and I’m relishing the opportunity to drive sales across the entire media group," he said.
