Australian dating app Ziinkle is raising $2.2 million in capital.

The impressive capital raise announcement follows Ziinkle’s acceptance into the world-renowned Newchip Accelerator Program, where the tech startup was chosen out of over 1000 applicants.

Armando Vera Carvajal, Vice President of products at Newchip said: “Newchip evaluates a vast and diverse number of seed-stage companies from around the globe, selecting only a small percentage to be part of our Seed Accelerator program.

“This careful vetting process of both the business model and founder makes us an ideal partner for venture capital investors and other key stakeholders in early-stage startup financings who are looking for promising startups that are beginning to generate traction and revenue. Companies like Ziinkle can scale quickly with proper funding and guidance.

“We are excited for Ziinkle and believe they will be well positioned to take advantage of a global ecosystem.” Launched in March 2022, Ziinkle is a next-gen dating app that gets people meeting in real life by providing real-time information about which venues are buzzing with singles. Combining Google’s hospitality data with Ziinkle users’ locations, this two-sided marketplace acts as a heat map for love.

Since launching, the company has had an average MoM growth of 27%, generated revenue from app subscriptions and events, and is ESIC certified. The investment will enable Ziinkle to further commercialise its B2B and B2C revenue streams, build the next phase in the Ziinkle ecosystem and accelerate its acquisition and retention strategies.
