Hogarth Names New GM, Head Of HR And Talent Director

Over the past 12 months, creative agency Hogarth has continued to experience expansion in the Australian market, with over 25 per cent YOY growth in their specialist offerings. To cater to this and drive a people-first focus, Hogarth today confirms the appointment of three senior leadership positions in Australia.

Effective October, Harry Preston joins Hogarth in Australia as general manager. Having spent the past five years as managing director at Genero and with extensive experience across creative, content and production agencies, Preston will be focused on uniting Hogarth’s client and studio functions to deliver innovative, tech-led solutions to Hogarth’s growing client portfolio.

WPP-veteran Kathryn Banfield joins Hogarth as head of HR for Australia, having spent the last four years with WPP as people director – public relations and public affairs. Banfield brings extensive people and culture experience across a diverse set of agencies. She will be tasked with developing and implementing innovative talent initiatives for Hogarth’s team of over 160 specialists in Australia.

In addition, Nick Dean joins Hogarth’s expanded team as talent director. Dean’s rich insights in talent development – having both founded his own talent consultancy, Talentworks Australia, as well as leading the development of two new major studio teams – ensure he is equipped to find and attract some of the best talent in Australia and to find smarter and more efficient ways to access the growing freelance marketplace in Australia.

Commenting on the appointments, Justin Ricketts, Hogarth Australia CEO said: “I am delighted to welcome Harry, Kathryn and Nick to the Hogarth family. Collectively, they deliver a diverse and rich portfolio of skills and experience to the business, helping to ensure Hogarth remains the best place for specialist creative talent to thrive in Australia.”
