The Australian Financial Review has published its Fast 100 list for 2021, with several media, marketing and digital agencies making the coveted catalogue.

To be eligible for the Fast 100 list – now in its 31st year – businesses must have commenced trading on or before 1 July 2016, and recorded an annual turnover of over $500,000 between 2016-17.

These businesses must also provide three years’ worth of revenue data, and will be ranked based on their annual compound growth over the same period.

Obviously, this time around, things were a little different with several businesses benefitting from restrictions and lockdowns, as well as the resulting e-commerce proliferation.

Digital marketing agency Zeal Digital topped the Fast 100 for the industry, coming in at number 25. The Sydney-based business reported a $3 million revenue in FY 2021, up 104.6 per cent from its 2019 results.

Independent full-service media agency Awaken followed at number 27 on the list, with the agency recording an impressive 100 per cent client growth for four-years running.

Online marketing and digital solutions agency Signifi Media took the industry bronze, coming in at number 34 with a 90.5 per cent increase in compound annual growth rate (CAGR) since FY2019. Its revenues have since risen to $7.3 million.

AdUnion took number 42, with a CAGR of 80.1 per cent since FY2019, and a $3.3 million revenue for 2021 financial year.

Man of Many followed at number 43, with a 79.6 per cent CAGR and $2.7 million revenue, while Brisbane-based advertising services agency, Audience Group Agency (main photo), came in at number 47 following consistent annual growth since its 2015 growth.

Livewire Markets took number 63, with the investments insights provider now boasting 250,000 monthly active users.

Data and out-of-home media business, Shopper, took number 86 with a FY 2021 revenue of $36.8 million.

Melbourne-based digital marketing agency, Clickmatix came in at number 90, and innovation agency, Clevvi took number 92.
