The new podcast ‘Baby Steps’ by Vogue Australia is a ‘fertility guide’ for anyone trying to conceive.

It will be hosted by Remy Rippon (pictured left), Vogue Australia’s senior beauty and health editor, and Jesinta Franklin (pictured right), model and spokesperson. The aim of the podcast is to unpack the myth and realities of conception and fertility with practical, no-nonsense advice.

In the eight part series, topics like IVF, egg-freezing, ovulation and miscarriage will be covered.

“I’m currently on the rollercoaster of trying to have a baby and have been with varying degrees of success for the past two and a half years. Hearing the stories of so many women around me I felt an overwhelming need to share the ups and downs of fertility,” said Rippon.

“Jesinta and I go on a journey with this podcast to learn everything there is to know about fertility and getting pregnant. We want this to be a guide for listeners, something we maybe didn’t have as a resource when we were trying to have a baby.”

Franklin added, “I am excited that this special project, Baby Steps, that Remy and I have been working on has been released. After being through my own struggles it is a conversation that I feel passionate about and I really hope that this helps even one woman or couple through their journey.”

The first episode of the podcast features Dr Melissa Overton, GP at Coogee Beach Doctors, who speaks about when to stop contraception, visiting a GP, uncovering family history, and whether genetic testing is beneficial.

It is supported by Elevit.
