CHEP Amps Up Its Data Engineering & Consultancy Capacity

With cookie shelf-life looming, new privacy legislation and a rapidly changing digital landscape, CHE Proximity has invested in its data engineering and consulting practices with new hires, training and additional certification to prepare clients for the next evolution in data-driven marketing.

Mark Gretton, chief technology officer at CHE Proximity said, “We’ve significantly invested in our data and consulting practices by hiring new talent, upskilling our people and in securing market-leading accreditation. As companies face a confusing time in their data strategy, we’re equipped to help our clients adapt, respond and redefine themselves to gain market share. We’ve already supported a range of major clients in unlocking the power of their 1st party data in new ways such as Samsung and Mazda.”

To deliver clients the best advice, CHEP’s data engineering practice has undergone training and certification programmes across all major data cloud and CDP providers such as Adobe Experience Platform, Tealium, Salesforce Customer 360, AWS and Google Cloud to build the largest, fully onshore, data engineering capability in any agency in Australia. CHEP has also received security standards training and certification for enhanced management of PII data, ISO27001, to ensure it continues to lead the way in the respectful and secure utilisation of customer data, driven by best practice compliance processes.

James Greaney, chief data officer, said, “With our data scientists now embedded in the data sets of industry leading telco, technology and financial services businesses, we’ve achieved a huge amount in a really short space of time through building this trust. The ISO27001 was a rigorous standard that we wanted to hit to ensure that we achieved a high level of trust for our clients to work with their customer data.”
