Monday TV Wrap: Seven’s SAS On The Up As Shannan Ponton Sensationally Quits

Seven’s SAS Australia was the entertainment of choice Monday night with 728,000 metro viewers (OzTAM data) tuning in to watch frontrunner Shannan Ponton sensationally quit the show.

Fan-favourite Ponton voluntarily withdrew from the competition after struggling in the cold and not wanting to be a “burden”.

Meanwhile, 10’s Have You Been Paying Attention did a decent 661,000, while Nine’s Gold Coast Cops did 420,000. Over at the ABC, Australian Story did 646,000.

In the battle of the primary channel share, Seven won with 19.9 per cent, Nine came in with 17.9 per cent, ABC did 13.4 per cent, 10 did 12.9 per cent, and SBS did 4.6 per cent.

Here’s how the rest of the night went.

Nine

News did 935,000, ACA did 682,000, and Hot Seat did 463,000.

ABC

News did 700,000, 7.30 did 700,00, and Media Watch did 379,000.

Seven

News did 975,000, Home and Away did 611,000, The Chase did 532,000, and The Rookie did 346,000.

The Project did 474,000 and Just for Laughs did 374,000.
