TV Reporter In Dangerous Near Miss As Bridge Gets Swept Away In Flood

A TV reporter in North Carolina had a very close call last Friday when a bridge she was reporting on collapsed live to air.

Fox 46 reporter Amber Roberts was reporting on local flooding following torrential rain when the incident occurred.

Roberts, who was out of camera shot, can be heard saying: “This bridge is literally sinking. Take a look at the ground, you can see it caving in” before the roadway gets torn in two.

Thankfully, neither Roberts or the camera operator were injured in the incident.

Roberts later tweeting: “I am SO #thankful me and my @FOX46News #photojournalist, @JonMonteFOX46 are okay. I’m sending #prayers up to the people of #Alexander #County impacted by today’s #flooding.”
