Sunday TV Wrap: All Hail The All-Conquering Block, As Junior MasterChef Simmers On Launch

The heavy marketing around one of the contestants forgetting to install a dining room table has worked a treat for The Block, the reno show topping last night’s time sheets.

The Block proper pulled 992,000 viewers according to OzTAM metro numbers, rising to 1.086 million for the room reveal. It was the only show to pass the million-mark last night.

10’s debuting Junior MasterChef could only muster 524,000.

Seven went sans an entertainment show, its exposé into the cruise industry Cruising – The Biggest Storm did an okayish 658,000.

Nine won Sunday with 31.9 per cent of all of last night’s eyeballs (all channels). Seven did a neat 26, 10 had 18.4 per cent, the ABC did 16.4 per cent and SBS pulled 7.2 per cent.

In the battle of the news bulletins, Seven took bragging rights with 930,000, Nine’s had 913,000, the ABC’s did 686,000 and 10 News First did 242,000.

Nine’s 60 Minutes posted 667,000.

Other highlights for 10 included The Sunday Project (372,000) and FBI (288,000).

Seven’s Crime Investigation Australia: Most Infamous did 281,000.

Other doers for the ABC included Restoration Australia (484,000) and Grantchester (468,000).
